The Finger and the Moon #1, 2008, Italy, colours 11’43” two channel video, ed3+ 2ap

For The Finger and The Moon #1 LIUBA, dressed as a nun, staged gestures and rituals belonging to different religions, unexpectedly reproposed among the crowd of visitors to the Venetian Biennale opening. The need behind this action is to blur reality and to make subtle changes of meaning into the usual and the ordinary. The choice of realizing the performance in real environments of daily life, causes an unpredictability of reactions and events, inserting an element of randomness in the work.
