The Polypolis project, commissioned and produced by the European Capitals of Culture project in 2000, consists of the same performance, The Winning Mummies, realized in the city nominated as European Capitals of Culture in 2000. The ‘Winning Mummies’ are people who believe they are socially arrived and successful, but whose lives are completely closed and suffocated by cages of duties, conventions, hypocrisy and stress.

The performance in Avignon took place in the evening, finding a city surprisingly deserted in the early evening hours of a summer day.
