YOU’RE OUT, 2014 – 2016, Germany, colours, 12’57” ed. 3+2ap

With YOU’RE OUT LIUBA continues focusing on the European ‘Refugee Problem’ and on the struggle for immigrants rights. The participative performance – from which the video is taken – is a public play of the children’s game, Musical Chairs (called Trip to Jerusalem, in Germany). The game symbolically mirrors what happens in reality: there is not always enough space for everybody.

The performance is conceived to include as participants both refugees and citizens to represent the multiracial society of our times and to focus on the fact that the struggle for ‘not being excluded’ is a universal issue concerning everyone.
