This Project explores, through a non-action at the Opening of 56 Venice Biennale and at Bologna Art Fair 2015, the nature of language, the concepts of truth and lies, and the subtle line between art and life.
This performance focuses on the ability to be silent for a long enough period of time. Executing multiple times in a loop the famous piece by John Cage 4’33”, the piece is developed in a performative and collective way.
The Slowly Project is a work-in-progress, taking place in various cities around the world. The performance consists of moving in ‘slow motion’ in daily life, walking so slowly that the performer becomes a shock to those in the city. The project and the videos are works about society and our lives but also a reminder to take our time, in life and in art, beyond formalities, stereotypes, and social ways.

Liuba went to Artefiera’s opening dressed with red dots. Then she took them off from her dress and put them all over the art works exhibited at the fair, creating a variety of reactions from the audience including astonishment, confusion, humour, and shock.
